Buddha on Pleasure

If one, longing for sensual pleasure,
 achieves it, yes,
he's enraptured at heart.
The mortal gets what he wants.
But if for that person
 — longing, desiring —
the pleasures diminish,
 he's shattered,
as if shot with an arrow.
